Voice Jam & Vocal Lessons


Alexandra trained at Mckechnie from a young age undertaking classes in both dance and voice. She is proud to still be a valuable part of the school within our faculty, allowing our students to go from strength to strength.

Alexandra continues in her professional career as a singer, performing with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Soul Nation Choir. Such positions have allowed her to perform all over the UK, as well as with other industry professionals where she has learned and gained much knowledge when it comes to her career.

Some memorable moments in Alexandra’s career so far include; Backing vocals for Lulu in her Hogmanay Hooley, Performing within the Edinburgh Fringe with Soul Nation choir, Backing vocalist at King Tuts wah wah hut for sold out performances,

As well as singing in locations such as BT Murrayfield, Her Majesty’s Theatre London, TV appearances on both STV and the BBC.

Alexandra has also perused performances for larger corporate companies such as LNER train services and The Ivy restaurant chain.  She has sang for the opening of their new business ventures on more than one occasion, even live on a train.

When it comes to teaching Alexandra began assisting in classes at Mckechnie from the age of 16. At 18 she sat her SDTA associated exam passing with distinction. Alexandra is now a vocal coach and teacher to our voice jam classes, where she has a passion for bringing out confidence and strengthened abilities within our pupils. Her teaching has also allowed Alexandra the opportunity to coach kids throughout Scotland, including holiday seasons at the Gleneagles Hotel.

Alexandra continues to train, learn and test herself so that she can allow our classes to evolve and grow so our pupils gain the most out of their vocal lessons and classes.
